From 63South of Columbia MO to Ashland exit y and m turn left onto Y go approx 6 mi. to Mark Twain National Forest Pine Ridge Campground , on Left on hill on Y. There is a marked hiking/horseback trail on right , hike this trail, carefully counting 21 boards or posts that have been place across trail to prevent erosion. This counts railroad ties and posts,*not* tree roots or fallen logs. The trail goes over one runoff stream, then there is a fork in the trail.Take the right fork, over another stream. Box is hidden in a hollow log 43 steps off trail to right, just to right of 21st post/log on trail. There is a dead forked tree to left of here, one fork is approx .10 ft high and the other fork is about 2 ft. high. Please mail us back a postcard that is in box after you answer local history/geo question. Feel free to leave your own self addressed postcard. Box is mint blue and is covered with leaves . This box wants an educational twist. tia
