CAMP RICHARDSON/ TAYLOR CREEK
This letterbox is located in historic Camp Richardson (C.R.) resort, just north of SLT. There are many places and things to do in C.R.
there are camp grounds, hiking trails, bike paths, and some of the best beaches (Pope beach)in the area.
Clues:Take highway 89 north from S.L.T. for about three miles, after you see the C.R. sign continue on for about a mile to the Vistors Center(V.C.) on your right. After parking proceed to the V.C. and find the Rainbow Trail(wheel chair acessible). Follow the trail, enjoy the nature that abounds along the trail. Make sure to see the stream profile (seasonal)or bypass it. South of the stream profile there is dirt path that continues south toward a 10 foot stone marker(50 paces). At the stone marker continue south 27 paces to the hour glass beaver chewed stump between the two bridges. Under the concrete river bank by the stump you will find your prize. After you enjoy the box make your way back to the paved path and continue on back to the parking lot. Hope you enjoy the walk.
