Hidden by Mike and Christine 4/16/04. Around 2 miles round trip.
PLEASE WEAR ORANGE DURING HUNTING SEASON!!

In 1943 Republic Studios declared Roy Rogers King of the Cowboys. His partner in many of the movies he made was Dale Evans, "Queen of the West." In 1951 Roy Rogers moved to television and they regularly rode in all the biggest parades and performed at all the grandest rodeos throughout the nation. Come along to find Roy and his horse, Trigger.

From Rt. 3 in RI, take Rt. 165 3½ miles to the Arcadia Check Station on the south side of the road. You can park here.
Pick up the white blazed trail to the south, thru the barred gate. This is a portion of the Alice in Wonderland series. Walk this path a bit, past another path to your right. You will continue until the trail turns right, past some large anthills that were full on ants when we were here.
Walk to the dirt road and turn left, over the bridge, leaving the white blazes. Past a fallen tree, between a stump and a forked tree on the right of the path.
Continue on until "Deep Pond, High Banks" points you left. Follow this path. Take next right, then on a short bit thru the red gate. Start walking clockwise around the pond till the first deck/dock on your right. This would be a nice place to water your horse.
From the beginning of the deck/dock, take 60 paces at 37°, up the bowl like little clearing and search for a small tree of 4 with a nice little cradle at its base. Here is where Roy and Trigger are stabled. Please re-hide well.
You can continue on around the pond for a short ways where you will end up back at the red gate. You then can retrace your steps back to your car. If doing the Alice in Wonderland boxes, you can back-track and hook up with the white trail again.
Thanks for coming. Feel free to contact us. Just Remember to Always Be Careful!!
