Clues Updated 4/7/07 (thanks Rain Maker)
This hike will take about 1/2 hour over a easy walking surface.
From the center of Litchfield head South on route 63, go 1.7 miles, turn right onto Webster Road (the road sign is hard to see, it's behind a Stop sign). Webster Road turns dirt after a very short time, drive about .5 miles to a pull off on the right and on the left. You will be taking the trail to the right, walk past the gate and the message board. On the right watch for the "HI" stump seat. Neat Right!
Continue walking until you see a fallen pine tree on the left, see the base and a 15 foot tree stump 30 feet off the trail. Head for that stump, now you can see 2 downed trees, behind the 2nd tree under a large piece of bark you will find the "Wet" letterbox. Continue heading North until you come to a split in the trail, turn East (right), cross over a small man made drainage ditch, then another one. In a short while cross the boardwalk, notice the 2 foot decaying stump in front of you, at this stump take a reading of 160*, go between the 2 pine trees, small on the left, larger on the right and look under the point of a log. This is where you will find the "Dry" letterbox. Continue on the trail crossing over 3 more small man made ditches, at the gate turn right and this will take you back to your car.
