Un4gettable Toy Series – Teddy
***Alive and well as of 8/5/2005***
Every child has their favorite toy however some toys manage to span the generations and delight grandchildren as much as they did their grandparents. We hope to recapture the joy of these enduring toys in our Un4gettable Toy Series. The series will include 10 boxes. Each box will contain a code number as well as the stamp. Once you find all 10 boxes and collect the codes, send an email to us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will mail you a bonus postal box with a special grand finale stamp to end the series. To keep in the spirit of childhood, as we place the boxes each clue will begin with something children enjoy playing or doing. We hope you have fun collecting these boxes and relive fond childhood memories as you find the toys along the way!
On your way to the lake take time to remember your fuzziest, furriest childhood toy. Drive west on South Street in Jackson, Ohio until you cross the railroad tracks and then turn left. Take this road 3 or 4 miles until you see the access road to Hammertown Lake turning off to the right. Drive about as far as the asphalt takes you at the lake. From the NW corner of the swing set located below the restroom building, take a reading of 248 degrees and go 17 paces to a tree cut off about 6 feet high. Teddy is waiting on the back side of the tree under a small rock and several pieces of loose bark. After stamping in look for an extra surprise in the box. Take one to add to your log book if you wish. Please rehide carefully.
