Mom’s idea, Drawn By Kyle – Age 11, Carved By Dylan – Age 8 and Dad

This box was placed as a memory of the time 1995-1997 that we spent living in Amberleigh on Foxleigh Way. We placed this box while we were down to go to the Annual White House Easter Egg Roll. Hope everyone enjoys the box.

No walking required. Drive-By.

Directions:

Keep in mind that the number of stop lights in this metropolitan area keeps changing as the area expands further. The numbers provided are for reference.

From Rt 395/495/95 in Springfield (the notorious mixing bowl), take 644 (Franconica Road). After several lights (currently about 6 sets) turn right onto Beulah Road. Continue on Beulah Street past the Rt 7900 (Manchester Lakes) intersection. At the third set of lights notice a gazebo and a sign for Amberleigh on the right.

Alternate Route is to turn right after passing the Springfield Mall at the second set of lights. Follow to the Franconia Springfield Metro and turn left onto 7900. At the first intersection, turn right (this is Beulah Street). Follow to the third set of lights.

Alternate Route is 95 (VA Exit 3) Van Dorn Street. Trun right a tend of ramp. Turn right onto Franconia and first left onto Beulah. Can also get to Beulah at Manchester Lakes by staying straight on Van Dorn Street and continuing past all the shopping centers until you reach the Manchester Lakes intersection. Turn left onto Beulah.

Coming from Beulah Street from the South at Ft. Belvoir. Stay on Beulah (about 5 miles) until you reach Amberleigh. Turn left into Amberleigh.

Box Directions

Once you enter Amberleigh, pull your car up far enough to avoid an accident. (Recommend you turn the car around and park on the other side about 100 feet back from the intersection.) Once there go up to the gazebo. The box is placed inside the gazebo, out of sight in the eaves at about 120from the fire hydrant (The side directly opposite Beulah Road). To reach it you will need to kneel or stand on the gazebo sides. BE CAREFUL. The treasure you seek is there. Re-hide carefully.

We hope you enjoyed this letterbox.
