This letterbox is now in Kettletown state park. This box was formaly located just above Prydden Falls in the lower Paugussett State forest
just across the river.
Its name "missing identity" has now been fixed, and the steaming kettle [ rubber stamp ] now placed here in kettletown.
Download a trails map off the internet.
This letterbox is located near the very top of the southern scenic overlook on the william miller trail [ blue blaze ]
From the top most rock slab at the overlook, take magnetic bearing of 298 degrees and walk 7 paces to another flat rock slab. Box is wedged under this rock, partially hidden by smaller rocks.
While up here, check out better view from the northern overlook close by.
If unable to locate the trail map, stop at kiosk near entrance booth of state park, and examine the map posted there.
Weekends during sommer months, expect to pay an entrance fee, or park here and enter on foot.
Bear right toward "youth group camping"
Park near "one way " sign, and look for hiking sign symbol and start of blue blazed trail on right.
Bear left at Y
trail goes up hill.
After the end of the steep part, bear left at blue blaze with yellow dot.
This will take you to obvious lookout location.
