This box was planted with FireRose, a new boxer and a terrific person. This box is in the same part of town as the Monkey Poison Letterbox.

Difficulty ā€“ easy
Time ā€“ quick
Directions to starting place - You may start from either end of the Farmington Valley Greenway. For much faster access, turn north on Route 10 (Hopmeadow Street) from route 44. Watch on your left for Weatogue Park. The park has a small playground and various kinds of ball fields. If you hit the intersection of 10 and 185 you have gone too far. The park could be missed, so keep your eyes open. We did notice that there is some kind of fire department practice house nearby, too.

Clues: Park and cross the football field, passing both yellow uprights. The playground will be on your right. Walk straight until you hit the bike path. Turn right on the path and you will soon pass 90. Look for the good sized birch on your right. Staying on the path, take 17 steps from the birch. Turn right. Go to the distant ā€œVā€ and look behind for fallen tree. (FireRose is a poet!)
As you can now tell, this is a pretty obvious spot so please be discreet. Enjoy.
