Note: When checking for clues be sure to search Tulare County clues too. Kernville and Tulare county are very close. Box checked and is OK on 10/10/15.
Description of hike: Strollers and pets on leash are OK. This is a short walk and looking for the box in the evening with a flashlight would be fine. You could also park right near the sign just off the asphalt for a drive by. As always be stealthy!
In this little Southern Sierra town find Riverside Park and park your vehicle and begin your walk from the permanent restrooms and the nearby children’s play area. Walk along the upper bank of the river down stream along the edge of the highway to the stone Kernville Welcome sign, a very short distance away.
Clue: From the back of the stone pillar sign go 3 paces at 315 degrees towards a rock cairn at the right front base of a big loaf shaped boulder. Please re-hide the box carefully.
