Off the beaten path Yes! Look on a PA map and you will see Prouty State Park 10 acres, the smallest state park in Pennsylvania. Once you find this park you will have already passed the trout farm. By the way, is a fantastic place to fish with kids and adults, and our trout were delicious. We couldn't resist planting a box while we were there and ROy and Linda were so gracious to let us plant it they even took a test run with us following our scribbled down clue to the secret hiding place on their farm. Please respect their times of operating their business, that is when you are able to hunt the box. Otherwise they might think you are trespassing. Check out their very cool site at proutytroutfarm.com

Now for the clues: Begin at the picnic table and walk clockwise around the pond until you are facing a 100 year old Maple tree you will pass about 7 benches(8 if you count the rock bench). Listen but don't "rush"12 steps to the brink of the sound. (May be quieter during times of drought) Look to your right, look to your left. If you see "twin evergreens" you're in the right spot. Face the pond and step again this time begin and go 12 paces passed the twin on your left.Cross the boards 37 in all. Here you can still hear the brook call. Walk around the south side of the pussywillowand follow the ridge by the treeline to the little green pine. Walk by the old wood pile, be sure to smile:) and cross 21 boards to your right. Walk to the tree just to your left with the six fingers reaching.Continue approx. 30 steps above as fast as your "little feet" can carry you to a lovely old stump. YOu'll find our treasure wedged there waiting just for you! Have fun! Let me know what you think!
