Difficulty: This is very easy total time 10 minutes.
Clues: From old Rt. 8 (Winsted Road) continue to end of road. You are now in the center of Winsted. At a 3 way intersection Dairy Queen will be on your right. Take a left heading west on Rt. 44 continue through town for approximately 1.8 miles. You will come to a Y in the road with a mobile station on your left. At the traffic light a mini park will be on your left and a church on your right. Park on either side of the road. Go into the park, facing the monument look to your right to the farthest tree. At this tree you will see a path, take 24 steps down the path.Look towards your left for a fingered tree along the base of the stone wall here you will find Winsted Crawdad. Please be careful as you are stamping in and re-hiding the box as this is sometimes a busy place as children are playing.
