Rating:Moderate 3/4 of a mile one way
Stamp Size 4x61/2

(Same starting point as Just For Kicks & Shelter Falls Letterboxes).

Directions:From Rt.44 in Mansfield, between Rt.195 and Rt.32 turn onto Hunting Lodge Rd.go to the stop sign and go straight onto Birch Rd.for 0.4 of a mile and park in the pull off area on the right.
Cross the street and enter the trail by the sign indicating Shelter Falls Park.Follow the trail and you will cross over two wooden bridges, after the second bridge the trail goes straight or left...you go staight. You will go up a small hill and come to a T...and it's hard to see,it's just a small trail that goes off to the left, But you go right.Soon you will come to a bigger T and again you'll go right.Keep going and you will go down a little hill and get to where you can see the river and you will come to a fork in the trail,go left up the hill. After awhile you will see a trail going off to the right, there will be arrows on a tree indicating straight or right, you take your right and go down a hill.At the bottom of the hill take a left and keep going until you cross over a small stream. You will see a small pond and a little waterfall off to your right and a stone wall in front of you.Look for where the trail goes through the wall, but DON'T go through it.Turn left and walk up the hill keeping the wall on your right. On your left be watching for a medium size rock coming out of the ground between two oak trees.(Stop) directly across from that rock in the wall, behind a good size quartz rock and behind a smaller oak tree, under some flat rocks is the letterbox. Now you can go back the way you came and go up that hill,or look for the small path at the bottom of that hill that runs along the river,it's a small path and looks more like a deer trail but it gets better as you go and you don't have to walk up that hill.It will meet up with the trail that you came down (remember when the clues said when you come to a fork go left, you'll come out right at that point. This is the trail if you would have made a right). Now from here just follow back the way you came in.Go down alittle and take a left, alittle more and take another left, go down the hill across those two bridges and back to your car.The NeeDeep's
