Reported Missing April 2006...will keep you posted
So a last minute change in my Business trip brought me to Milwaukee with a weekend to spend. So I went to Wal-Mart bought some supplies and carved two stamps with a Jack Knife in my hotel in Connecticut.
So the stamps are not my best work but a worth the walk.
To begin find Back Bay Park. "Woodstock" fans will find it quickly.
Once in the park find the lamppost that has a clear view of the lake, the playground and four benches. Now stand to the right of the post and face the playground. You will notice to your right there is a slight change in the elevation of the lawn and a tree marks the
The roots of the tree point toward the letterbox trail. From the edge of the park "lawn" count approx. 20 paces down the trail. Stop. On your right at the peak of a Pisa log is letterbox #1.
Box 2 is missing.....if anyone wants to carve one and replace it please let me know and we can update the clues to have a new box....
Back at your lamppost stand on the left and walk toward the closet lamppost. From here head to yet another post approx. south. Now grab a seat at the nearest bench to enjoy the view. As you sit find the planks to get an even better view and begin your count at the edge.
Count down as many Happy "Days" as in a four week period. Sit and look below and behind. Be careful. This is a very busy area. Please make sure you rehide the box well so you cannot see it from all angles.
Fingers crossed they will last. I am not sure what it will look like in the winter but feel free to email me if you find challenges and we can brainstorm a solution.
