***Needs a small 2" or so log book. Please let me know if you are able to help. Thanks.
This box is located at Ensign Peak Park. This residential area was the general vicinity of the home of former Utah Jazz basketball star Karl Malone. Down below, see if you can spot the Delta Center, where he played basketball.
Ensign Peak Monument is a nice walk uphill from this letterbox; yet there is a nice view of the Salt Lake Valley and beyond from this point at Vista Mound.
DIRECTIONS: From I-15 take the 600 S. exit. Head north on 600 S. and turn left on State St. and go to the right on 300 N., on up past the Utah State Capitol building, and northward on E. Capitol Blvd. Turn Left onto Edgecombe Dr., which becomes Ensign Vista Dr. and follow it to park in the street in front of the park (soon after passing Churchill Dr. on the left).
CLUES: Begin on the trail Ensign Peak Trail, then take the trail to the left and head over to Vista Mound to enjoy the view. From here, facing the info marker, note the fence to right, and follow it on behind and downhill. There is a rock at the “landing” on the right, between fence post #5 & #6 (counting up from the end of the fence).
Please be discreet and rehide it well.
