WE have been told the letterbox has been flooded out.The good ol' Missouri River... This is temporary and we will replace it very soon ...

We chose to place this Letterbox in Hermann Missouri because it is not only a cute little town but the Lewis and Clark Expedition thought it was a good place to stop Too!
This German established town on the banks of the Missouri river was established in the 1800's It has several winerys and lots of good German food. Go see for your self...
From Interstate 70 Take highway 19 south to Cross the Missouri River.

Take the 1st left after crossing the bridge. Go thru town to the Hermannhof Winery Parking lot. Park.. Start walking....
Get some wine if you want see the Tin Rabbit too!
When you have Left.
Cross the bridge at Frene Creek.
Walk until your see a red Caboose on your right..Go right.
Go to Amtrack depot...Don't get on a Train. Do whats left...
When you get to the Riverfront Park go right in...
Walk until you need flippers, and follow river walkway.
Past the historical marker commerating the Lewis and Clark Expedition.
Follow the Walk of history.
From the end of the sidewalk cross the grass.Head for the second big boat anchor on the shores of the Missouri River.
Keep going ahead to Frene Creek.
Turn left and walk backwards 60 paces.
Or do whats right.
You will see a big pipe crossing the creek.
At the base of the pipe where it goes into the earth you will find the Letterbox covered with a rock.
We hope you have as much fun finding this as we had putting it there.
October Fest would be a great time in Hermann.
Ps. Watch out for the ground hog that lives near by.
