***** Finding Nemo Letterbox *****
Clues are easy, trails are a breeze, kids allowed, but no pets at Magnolia Fitness Park.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: The boxes are covered with glued-on leaves and bark, to disguise them, so look hard, they blend pretty well(unless the leaves and stuff fall off-I used hot glue!). Please don't forget that Mississippi harbors some nasty reptiles and insects, use a stick to poke around!! Bring markers if you can, the stamps look alot more like the movie characters we all know and love if colored in with details. My daughter did not recognize Nemo on my stamp when I first stamped it with all blue ink. I take this as a clue that my carving abilities stink, but markers seem to help. Also, the 2 stamps make up one picture, so leave room in your logbook to fit the smaller stamp in to complete the picture. Dory and others are coming soon...

BOX #1 Marlin
***REPLACED JAN 2005-NEW LOCATION IN CLUES****
Location: Town Square Park, corner of Main Street and Bushman, downtown Hattiesburg.

Marlin, everyones favorite paranoid clownfish, has lost his son AGAIN! While visiting the beautiful Mississippi Gulf Coast, Marlin decided to take Nemo up to experience the Southern hospitality of Hattiesburg. After getting a snowcone, they headed to Town Square Park. Although used to the heat from their adventures in Australia, they had never experienced the energy-sapping humidity of a south Mississippi summer, and they stretched out under a tree to nap. When Marlin woke, he found Nemo gone, again! You must help Marlin find his son-before a Hattiesburg version of Darla finds him first! Stand in front of the gazebo in the park, and look towards the church. See that big tree on the riverbank? The one with the ivy on it's base, near the bridge?Marlin is napping in a vee in the trunk, in the middle of the tree. He's about eye level, tucked in a cranny and disguised with bark. Remember to cover him well behind that bark!

BOX #2 Nemo ***ALIVE AND WELL AS OF JAN 2005***

Location: Magnolia Fitness Park, corner of Hall Ave and John Street, downtown Hattiesburg.

Nemo woke up to find his dad STILL napping. All the sugar from the snow-cone made Nemo jumpy, so he decided to jump into the river and explore. He swam through downtown, and splashed in the fountains along Main Street. He went to the library, where he was excited to his movie among the new DVD's on the shelves. The children's librarian scolded him for dripping on the books though, so he headed out into the hot sun to find a place to play. At last he came upon the Magnolia Fitness Park, but he was so sad to find no swings or slides. It was growing dark, and Nemo realized he was LOST! Just then, he looked up to see a beautiful Magnolia tree, bearing the sign "Lost Magnolia". What a perfect place for a lost clownfish!Confident that some intrepid letterboxer would find him, he headed about 20 feet due south of the Lost Magnolia, and is waiting under the right side of a very large tree among the roots for his happy reunion with his dad. Look hard, he's under lots of leaves.
