There is only one box in this series, now. The Papillon box was raided by someone who left only the rubbermaid container and the cloth the stamp was wrapped in. Both the stamp and logbook were taken. Go to Fort Harrison State Park and begin at the Fall Creek Trailhead. Follow the trail along Fall Creek. You will notice that you are traveling upstream. Stay on the main path. You will come to a drain pipe across the trail. From this pipe, proceed along the trail 32 paces. Look to your right and you will see an enormous tree. At the base of the tree, facing the trail, is where the "Papillon II" box used to be hidden in a hollowed part of the tree. This was a replacement stamp for the original "Papillon" box which disappeared in June. This box will probably not be replaced, as too much of a "social trail" was created in the brush around the tree.

Return to the trail and continue upstream. Look for the first defined path, leading into the woods, away from the creek. If you have chosen the correct path, you will go uphill a short ways. Find the three-headed tree on your left. Directly across the path from this tree, you will find several fallen trees. Look for the point where the trees overlap and you will find the "Cicada Land" box. This stamp was carved by 10-year old Leopard JJ and placed in honor of the 17-year cicada season of 2004. This letterbox was alive and well, as of Jan. 1, 2005.
