The Backyard Friends letterbox is on the Jordan River Parkway, next to Gardner Village. Gardner Village is a fun little shopping village with restored old houses that have been relocated to this spot. The focal point is the old flour mill that was owned by Archibald Gardner, and now houses Archibald's Restaurant and Country Furniture and Gifts. The village decorations change seasonally.

Gardner Village is at: 1100 W. 7800 S.
From I-15 take the 7200 S. exit #301. and go west on 7200 S. Turn left on 700 W. and then turn right on 7800 S. (Center St.). Watch for the entrance to Gardner Village on the right side of the road.

Park along the east side of the shopping area - east of the old mill. There is a black gravel slope with a railroad track along the top. Follow the white fence at the base of the slope going towards 7800 S. Go on up the cement path that goes under the underpass, along 7800 S. You'll come to a landscaped area with a sign welcoming you to the Jordan River Parkway.

Go left (north) toward the restrooms. Walk to the tree on the right that bows away from the trail. From this tree, walk across the path to the white fence. Go back the way you came, along the fence, counting the fence posts. At the 5th one, walk 3 more steps, and there is a black rock (covered with debris) hiding the box, back in,(less than a foot)at the base of the bushes. This is a very busy path – please be discreet and look before bending down. Re-hide well with the rock and debris.
