This box is missing as of 30 July 07.

BEWARE OF SNAKES... I saw 6 or 7 of them a couple of feet away from the box... might want to bring a small flashlight to shine in the hole before you reach your hand in.

----------------------------------------------------------

To get to Quail Lake, take I-25 to Exit 138 (Circle Dr.) Turn right on Circle Dr. Turn left at the second light, Venetucci. Turn right at the first light, Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. Follow it till you see a lake on your left. Turn left on Quail Lake Rd to enter the parking lot. Park in the east lot for these clues. If this lot is full and you have to park in the west lot, you’ll have to backtrack to the east lot on foot to start the clues.

Dogs are allowed – please keep them on leash and pick up after them. This trail is kid friendly, complete with playground and porta-potties. No swimming allowed. Fishing requires state license. Picnic tables available.

Clues:
Start at the trail below the east parking lot and walk the trail clockwise. You’ll be walking on a sidewalk that’s right next to Quail Lake Rd. When you get to the place where the trail leaves the sidewalk, follow the sidewalk straight just a couple steps. On your right you’ll see a rock field. Your prize is hidden under the only red boulder, with a bunch of little stones covering the hole.

There are usually a lot of people around… just sit on the red rock and pretend to rest. Please be sure to re-hide well!

Enjoy the lake! Thanks for visiting....
