More great stamps by Kiakahi

Rated: Easy - about 2 miles round trip with a couple of little hills

BE WARNED - BRING INSECT REPELLENT OR YOU WILL BE A TASTY LUNCH!

This series is based on the Harry Chapin song "The Cat's in the Cradle."

On Rt. 87 at the Lebanon/Columbia town line, look for the "Pedestrian Crossing" sign and park in the small space provided. This is where the Airline Trail crosses. Be very careful if you are crossing the street as this is a very busy road.

Follow the Airline Trail in a SW direction past the yellow gate. Go a short distance and you will see a path on your left. Follow this path to a little dammed pond. You may see some tables and chairs set up on the other side of the dam. On your right you will see a group of large oak/maple? trees with a stone throne in their midst. Look behind the throne under some rocks for your first prize.

Return to the Airline Trail and continue in the direction you were headed. You will pass by two sets of ledge on your right. Directly after the second set, take the path on your right going slightly down which will bring you to another pond. Do not be fooled by the wet area right next to the Airline Trail. Go a little ways beyond the pond and you will see a large mound of rocks on your left. Go all the way to the back and look in the lowest spot for your next prize. As you are returning to the Airline Trail, you may take the smaller path on your left next to the pond and by-pass the steep downhill slope.

Continue in the direction you were headed. The sides go down very steep at this point. After the sides return to trail level on your right, you will come to a small stream that passes under the trail. "Stand" on the stream and look to a double tree at 350*. To find your next prize, look under the rock in front of this tree.

Continue on. You will walk through some ledge on both sides. You will go by two stone walls on your left. The sides are steep here and depending on the time of year, you may or may not see both of them. You will then go through a swampy area and come to another, more visible, stone wall. Follow the wall to the corner and continue along the inside 11 paces (left foot only.) You will come to a rotten stump right next to the wall. Look under the stone behind this stump for your last prize.

Remember to bring the clues to An Airline Bridge with you. It has the same starting point.

As always, please rehide all boxes well.

Happy hunting!

I want to thank Burning Feet for taking over this series.
