This box was missing but with the kind help of Valerie (a.k.a. Wildflower Mom) who donated the stamp, and Marmalade who donated the box as well as a new notebook, D-lake is up and running.

One of the neatest places to stay on the coast is Devils (or D) lake at Lincoln City. You have the lake for fishing, swimming, boating etc. Then there is Lincoln City with great places to eat, the outlet mall and the shortest river in the world. Depoe Bay and several great parks are just a few minutes away. I almost forgot the best part, you also have the Pacific Ocean! Go to the kite festival some time, its amazing. And when you get bored in Lincoln City drive north or south for less than an hour and you can go to Newport or Tillamook. Drive a little longer and visit Cannon Beach, Seaside or down to Florence and the sand dunes.

To find the D-Lake stamp take the east Devils Lake Road and then turn on to Loop Drive. Loop Drive will take you right to Sand Point Park. A very clean and tidy park with a sandy beach and picnic tables. Clean and tidy parks tend to make me nervous because the landscapers seem to know their business. That makes finding a decent hiding spot difficult and properly re-hiding the box extremely important.

To the box:
20 squares of cement
18 planks of wood
Look left at ankle height,
in a crevice, behind loose rocks and debris

PLEASE HIDE IT BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT!
I don’t live in the area so please e-mail me and let me know how the box is doing. Thanks!
