NOTE from Calli-K (02/28/2011): With 4Dtoes' blessingI adopted this box today and will be taking care of maintenance when necessary. Please contact me with information about the condition of the container and the log book. The original clues are as follows:
TO FIND HAYSTACK RESERVOIR:
Go east off HWY 97 on Jericho Lane (Look for signs to Haystack about halfway between Madras and Redmond)
NOTE:
On your way notice areas where deer have bedded down and watch for wildlife. (We saw Deer, Rabbits, a Snake, Lizards, Bald Eagle, Ducks and Geese while planting this box)
TO THE BOX:
Find Haystack Campground and proceed to the group picnic area and park. With the reservoir on your left start heading to the highest point in front of you. As you get into the trees you will come upon a barbed-wire fence. Follow this fence to your left. Keep the fence on your right and continue up until the fence ends at the rock wall. Your treasure awaits tucked behind two rocks at the base of the wall. USE EXTREME CAUTION – this is snake country. Poke a stick in first.
PLEASE REHIDE THIS BOX AS WELL OR BETTER THAN YOU FOUND IT
Hope you enjoyed it!
