Don't you just love Kure Beach? Plenty of beach access points and not a parking meter in sight. And now the city council is replacing its beachfront street lights with less bright lights so as to not confuse sea turtles on an egg laying mission. Way to go!
The Sea Turtle letterbox is four blocks south of the Kure Beach Fishing Pier near the beach parking lot at G Ave. In the southeast corner of the parking lot is a bicycle rack adjacent to the boardwalk ramp.
Look under the south side of the ramp just seaward of the bicycle rack, roughly underneath the handrail support post.
And brake for Sea Turtles.
