Dog Party Letterbox is located at Stodder's Neck Park in Hingham. Placed by Peppermint Patti with Bunny Swordsman and Kirby Swordsman.

Stodder's Neck Park is a peninsula on the Hingham/Weymouth line at the mouth of the Back River. Stodder's Neck was once an unsightly gravel pit. Reclaimed and landscaped in a manner reminiscent of Frederick Law Olmsted's work at World's End, Stodder's Neck provides harborside walking trails and a hilltop view of the Back River.

Directions:
MBTA:
Take MBTA Hingham Bus #220
By Car:
From Boston take Rt. 3A south to Lincoln Street in Hingham.

Stodder's Neck Park is a dog park. If you enjoy letterboxing with your dog, you and your dog will love it here! On the other hand, if you are afraid and/or dislike dogs, I would suggest not attempting this box.

We can see Stodder's Neck Park from our boat on our mooring. Last summer we noticed many people coming down to the water's edge with their dogs. The dogs would frolic and play in the water and with each other. We called this a "Dog Party"!

To find the Dog Party LB, enter the park through the main gate. At the first Y intersection, bear to the right. Follow the path. Eventually you will reach a grassy opening on your right where you will be able to see the boats on moorings. There will be two trees, one on the right of the path and one on the left. They are the same types of trees, however I am not sure what type of tree they are!

From the trees, walk along the path for approx. 55 steps. There will be a small opening on the right that leads down to the water's edge. Turn with your back to this opening. Cross over to the other side of the path. At approximately 210 degrees, you will see a large tree that splits in two from the trunk (next to a clump of three birch trees).

Dog Party is located at the base of this tree. Please rehide very carefully.

You can go back to the path and follow around to the exit or when you leave Dog Party you can go right across the grass to the top of a hill for a great view of Back River!

Enjoy! Please email me and let me know you found Dog Party! LB!
