Clues:

From West Simsbury center,(FD, PO), continue on Rt. 309 toward the Master’s School entrance. Take Hedgehog Rd. to the right a little before the Master’s School sign. Turn left onto Saddle Ridge Rd. If you miss the turn, there is a small park on the right just beyond where you can turn around. Pass Lenora Drive at the stop sign and drive half way around the cul de sac at the end. Park on the road near the two stone pillars that mark the trail entrance.

Follow the obvious trail into the woods that is now blazed white, climbing to the top of the waterfall.
At a double blaze on a tree, cross the brook to the fallen log. Standing with your back to the stump-end of the log, look to 320* to find a rock cave with small rock door hiding Princess Ida. Please close the door carefully and well when you are done.

Go back across the brook and continue on white onward and upward to where the red trail crosses at a bridge and trail sign. Take the red trail to the left. Continue past “The Big Rock”, climbing onward over a rocky area. Watch for a 4 ft. log on the path with a root shoot pointing skyward. There will be a large flat rock ahead underfoot. Standing at the bottom of the flat rock, face 265*. See a moss-covered rock and pointy stump. Make your way to the rock. Two small steps from the rock at 340*, look down and see a two-rock vault with a triangular opening another step down from where you are. Look in the vault for the Mikado.

Return to the trail and continue climbing. Watch for a large old ghostly juniper on your left. Check its base for Rudigore. Please re-hide carefully, making it as inconspicuous as possible since this can be seen from the trail.

Continue up the trail to a large boulder on the right. You might have to push branches aside to examine the smaller rocks under the left edge. You should find Iolanthe there.
I’d really appreciate it if everyone would reseal all bags and boxes securely and re-hide the boxes WHERE THEY WERE FOUND, concealing them completely. Continue up the trail to see the view. It's worth it! Now you can retrace your steps to reach your car following red to white and going right on white before the bridge. At least it is downhill all the way!
