This box is back in action with a second log book!

This is part of the Cedar Beach Park Series, along with "Allentown Rose Garden"

Warning: clue gathering and field math involved! Calculate if you dare.
+ = addition, - = subtraction, * = multiplication, / = division

Cedar Beach Park is described at: http://www.allentownpa.org/parks.htm

Directions to Park: From Interstate 78, exit at Hamilton Blvd/Route 222 North towards Allentown. Continue 2.1 miles to Ott St and take a left. Take a right into the parking lot for Cedar Beach Pool.

Pass – Set – SPIKE!

This letterbox honors Lightnin’ Bug’s favorite sport, Volleyball.

Face the entrance to Cedar Beach Pool from the edge of the parking lot and turn East (right). Head eastward, passing a playground on the left. Basketball on your right, but that’s not for you (A = how many are there) to arrive at the Volleyball zone. How many hardtop courts are there (B)? and how many sand courts are there (C)? Stop and observe the sport of ultimate teamwork. Now that you have collected your data, continue eastward along the lake and paved roadway, past a triple tree, Stonehenge, a couple of totally gnarley trees. An island in the lake beckons, but not today as you will look for a big orange screw. From the screw take a reading of ((A+B)*10)° and head toward the bridge, cross the bridge and subtract 5° from your previous bearing and head toward the tree in front of a rock wall. Back to the tree, take a reading of (A*B*C)° and 11 paces to a large pointy rock. Underneath you shall find a box to place your own spike!

No dinks or carries!

You can return to your starting point by retracing your steps or going along the north side of the little lake.
