Hey there
Thought I would join in the ranks of boxes along the Cape Cod Canal. This can be as long or as short of a hike as you want. If you want a long hike, start anywhere on the path along the canal and head towards the railroad bridge. If you want an easy drive up box, take the first right after the bridge on the Bourne bridge rotary, (it will say Mashnee Village) Stay to the left following signs for Shore road and Gray Gables. At the four-way intersection stay straight, and turn right onto Bell rd. about 1 mile from rotary, .7 of a mile from intersection. At the end of Bell road you will find yourself at the Tidal Flats Recreation Area, right at the railroad bridge. Park.
With your back to the bridge you will see two picnic tables, walk between them. On your left will be a clump of trees, after this clump will be one tree alone (cedar?) and under a black rock and a light rock you will find the Railroad Bridge Letterbox.
Enjoy
