If you've ever had to deal with the itchiest of rashes, that dastardly devil known as poison ivy, this box is dedicated to you. So then, come one, come all to Timberlin Park in Kensington, CT. Head down to the main lot and drive on by the park sign. Just a hop past the playground, park your car in the first lot/picnic area you come to. Across the road from your car, there should be two paths heading into the woods, take the one on the left. Folllow this trail along the small embankment until you come to a pair of outdoor ranges. From the cornermost range, head down hill along a bearing of roughly 200o. Stand in between the SECOND set of horseshoe posts and take a reading of 240o down the small embankment. This is the way you must head out.(you will begin to see blazes in a second) Follow this trail a short distance and take a sharp right where the blazes indicate. You should now be heading towards a tree with a framed sign for the Metacomet trail on it. Hop across the stream and follow the blazes left. Continue to follow these light blue& white blazes until you come to a Y intersection. Blue& white goes left, you will go right. Up ahead, the path becomes rocky and begins to ascend slightly. Shortly you should come to another intersection. The trail you want bends SHARPLY left at a little less than 300o. Still following this rocky path,(and the blue blazes) stop at the large rock in between the trees on the right. Around to the left and behind this huge boulder, you will find yout treasure nestled up against one of the trees covered by some bark. Stamp in and re-hide with great care. Welcome to the Ivy League.
