Weather: Parts one, Snowflake and two, Sunshine, located at Callahan State Park Framingham, MA
This park is is great for dog owners. They do not require leashes. So if you have a friendly dog, who loves to play with other dogs and is good off his/her leash, this is the park for you. Our dog Trevor loves it here.

Enter Callahan State Park at Millwood Street in Framingham. Once you pass the main gate you will see three path choices, left, right, and straight. Go straight. This path goes through the middle of a field, and through two patches trees and over 2 brooks. It will bring you out into another large field. Eagle Pond is at your right. Head up the hill on the right of the field passing the pond. You will pass a small patch of trees on your left before you enter the woods.
Once you enter the woods you’ll see a big old tree on your right, nicknamed “Medusa.” You’ll know why when you see it! When you come to the 4-way intersection of paths go right. It comes pretty quick once you pass “Medusa”. You will come to a small bridge that goes across what during the wet season I think is a brook. Cross the small bridge. Just over the bridge is a small fork in the path. Go right. The path leads you toward a stone wall and through it.
When you come to a three-way intersection you should go left, and then again immediately after that go left. Go through the second opening in the stone wall. Follow the path until you meet up with Fox Hunt path at a T. Go right onto this path. Follow this path down the hill. The path gets narrow for a short time. Be careful of mountain bikers.
You will come to another three-way intersection at the edge of the Trustees property. Follow the path around to the right to the wooden bridge. Stop on the bridge. On the right of the bridge is a tree. *********THIS BOX IS MISSING 4-10-05******* You will find Snowflake at the base of this tree buried under some small rocks. Climb over the bridge onto the big boulders to get at the base of the tree. Please make sure you re-hide this well box under the rocks.
Once you have stamped in and replaced Snowflake under the bridge, continue on this same path. The path again forks at a big dead tree, stay to the right. The path opens to a bigger path. Follow it past the fence keeping to the right where the path you are on meets up with another path.
The path opens to a small clearing and heads slightly uphill. At the top of the hill you will come to a small patch of trees. Go into the trees and find the old broken coop. The box is under the coop wrapped in camo fabric.
This area is very popular with "smokers". While they haven't damaged the box, they do take up all the logbook space writing me notes about their activity. Please be sure to rehide this box really well, eventually one of them may decide to take the box. (gasp!)
Head back out to the path and follow back down to the very first three-way intersection where you can go left to get to the parking lot (obviously) or go right to get to the pond (for a doggy swim) or go straight to find parts three and four of Weather (not yet listed as of 7/14/04, watch for new listing soon).
