George Herman "Babe" Ruth was born February 6, 1895, at 216 Emory Street in Baltimore. From humble waterfront beginnings he would become baseball's greatest star and his power would forever change the game. You can still see his birthplace by visiting the Babe Ruth Birthplace and Museum in Baltimore. Then you can see this microbox dedicated to his memory in nearby Patterson Park.

Directions:
From I-95, take I-395 "Downtown" exit and follow signs for Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd (MLK). Once on MLK, to go to Babe Ruth Birthplace, go west at second light, which is Pratt Street. Once on Pratt, go through one light (Penn Street) to the first small side street, Emory Street, on right. To go to Patterson Park and this microbox, go east on Pratt street until it ends at South Patterson Park near the Pagoda.

Clues:
From the Pagoda, walk north 80 steps down the path that goes by the row of cannons, to a brick path T jct. Turn right (east) and walk 28 steps to a stone wall running east (not the one with a bull). Follow it on the left side for 42 steps to the beginning of another stone wall running east. Walk 35 steps to its end and look left (north) for a large tree 23 steps away. Walk to the tree and go around it part way to the right and find a cavity about 1.5 feet above ground. The microbox is within, buried under dead leaves and sticks. Please re-cover well, and add a rock or two on top if you can.
