Guanajuato, meaning place of the frogs, is a colonial town in central Mexico known for its mines, tunnels, beautiful cobblestone roads and allies, its mummies, art and legends among many other things. This town is one of Mexico’s most beautiful places to visit.
In order to get a better view of the town, head up to “el Pipila”. There are 3 ways up to this monument: 1. by car by way of the panoramic road that goes all around the hills above the town. 2. Climb up the stairs from behind “Teatro Juarez” in Historic downtown. 2. or take the funicular up the hill which also starts behind “Teatro Juarez”. The funicular is not free but it is the fastest.
Go up to the viewing area in front of the statue and take a moment to enjoy the view. Now turn and face the statue. Walk to your left along side the wall where you see some stands and parking spaces until you come across some stairs going downhill marked by two trees in planters. (These stairs go to the funicular to get back to downstairs). Go down the stairs to where they end at some shops. To your right is a planter with some rocks. The first of those rocks, which is the largest and is reddish or purplish in color, is the one you want. Below this rock is a small box. Please try to be fast and discrete. (If you keep walking along the hallway to the right you will reach the funicular and a museum of legends.

Guanajuato, que significa lugar de las ranas, es un pueblo en la zona central de México. Minas, túneles, callejones, momias, leyendas, y artesanías son algunas de las cosas por cual es conocido Guanajuato. Guanajuato es uno de los pueblos más bellos de la Republica Mexicana.
Para obtener mejor vista de la cuidad suba al monumento del Pipila. Hay 3 formas de llegar a la estatua: 1. En carro por la panorámica 2) a pie subiendo todos los escalones que comienzan en el centro detrás del teatro Juárez 3. Por el funicular que es la forma más rápida pero no ex gratis (también comienza detrás del Teatro Juárez).
Llega al mirador al frente del Pipila disfrutar de la belleza de Guanajuato. Voltee a mirar el Pipila. Hacia su lado izquierdo hay una bajada al Funicular después de unos puestos. La bajada esta marcada por dos arbole, uno a cada lado, en macetas. Baje las escaleras hasta que llegue a donde terminan. Pare en el penúltimo escalón al frente de usted vera unas tiendas. A su lado derecho hay una jardinera con varias piedras. Usted busca la primera que es la más grande y que es de color morado medio rojizo. Bajo esta piedra se encuentra una caja chica. Por favor sea muy discreto. (si sigue caminando por el pasillo a la derecha, llegara a la bajada vía el funicular y también se encontrara un museo d leyendas).
