This letterbox is located at a Picnic area/Historical Marker near Westpoint (http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/WW/hlw21.html). There was once a fort here to protect residents from the Indians.

Its on Hwy 71 between La Grange and Bastrop. It was placed here because many people will pass this way going to find the abundant boxes in Bastrop!

This is a middle of nowhere box.

Its near the exits for Westpoint and Muldoon (http://www.tsha.utexas.edu/handbook/online/articles/view/MM/hnm72.html)
On Hwy 71.

Clues:
Park at the Picnic area at the small lot near the historical marker. Come down the walkway (not the stairs), take the sidewalk to the left to the picnic table. With the highway to your back and standing beside the picnic table, go to the Three Giants.
Once at the Three Giants, stand behind them so you are facing the woodline.
Look up, and walk between two big limbs above, this will take you to two small straight trees at the woodline. This is approximately 26 steps. The left tree is a China Berry, I believe. To the right about 10-15 feet away is a Pecan tree. The letterbox is located on the ground behind the tree. Its not really covered because we don’t expect much human traffic at this spot!

Seal the best you can to keep water out!

Please let us know when you find it!

Actually, pretty nice place for a picnic!
