There has been a lot of talk on the Northeast list lately about bears in Connecticut. I have personally seen one in Eastford, but it was a few years ago. Anyway it inspired me to plant a box. The clues follow.

Directions:
You will need to go to Beaumont Park in Lebanon. It is located on Village Hill Road off of route 289. It is only a short ways down on the right hand side. Park on the side of the road near the rock monument.

Clues:
It is rumored that there is a 'picnic basket' here that was left behind by 'Small Bear'. That may be the reason that people are seeing "Bear Tracks".
Go to the two benches that are on top of the old foundation. This park was cleared as part of an Eagle Scout project by a member of Troop 58 of Lebanon. Sit on the bench closest to the road. Look over your left shoulder and spy the stonewall near the road.
There is a large bush with a three trunked tree next to it. Go to the tree. Standing on the right side of the tree, facing the road, look at the stonewall. This is where you will find the tracks that I speak of. They are in a deep cavity but you only need to move ONE rock to wiggle the box out.
Please re-hide this box well and remember to disturb as little as possible in your adventures. There is a little something in the box for the first few-but take pity on the bears and only take one as they are hard to digest.
We hope you enjoyed the hunt.-Flutterby & Fat Cat
