*** IMPORTANT NOTICE ***
We have placed a new box to replace the missing one! Happy hunting! (July 1,2006)

Updated 8/27/07: Rumor has it that the new box has now gone missing. We will check and see if we can make yet ANOTHER new stamp.

*** END IMPORTANT NOTICE ***

Winslow Park is a beautiful ocean-access park with a small playground, picnic facilities, bathrooms (during the summer), a boat ramp and camping sites. It's a great place to spend a warm afternoon (although the swimming can be problematic at low tide) or a weekend. Only a few miles from the famous outlet stores of Freeport and centrally located for all Southern and Mid-Coast Maine activities.

Directions to the Park: Get onto Rt 1 between exits 20 (formerly 19) and 17 (still 17). Just South of the Freeport Big Indian, turn onto South Freeport Rd. follow this for about .75 of a mile, until Staples Pt. Rd. Turn right onto Staples Pt. Rd. and follow it to the end, about 1.5 miles. There will be a small fee to enter the park.

Directions to the box:
Passing through the entrance gate
continue on, the road is straight.
When it forks, go to the right.
Log #6 is the treasure's site.

Hope you enjoy this wonderful little park as much as we do! Be sure to visit Classic Custard back on Rt. 1 (a little North of the Big Indian) for a delicious "cement."
