Box is out of commission for the moment.
This is a letterbox planted by Monkey Poison and associates. rtrw is VERY happy to have it associated with her and will happily forward on any comments you may have for this first time planter.
Start: Latimer Lane Elementary School
33 Mountain View Road
Simsbury, CT. 06089
Go to corner of Mountain View Road and Latimer Lane.
From the Mountain View Rd. / Latimer La. Street sign count 25 sidewalk squares up the hill. Walk up Latimer La. w/playground on your right.
Stop on the twenty fifth sidewalk square.
Turn left 90 degrees and you will sill six poles of red.
Cross the street carefully because you will be J-walking and we will not be held responsible for any tickets or accidents.
Walk along gravel path for approximately… and I DO mean approximately 200 paces.
At the third house on the right you will see a lonely rock up a small embankment on your right.
There may be a marking on the rock – there may not be.
End: You can find the Monkey Poison ® behind this rock!!
Be Careful throughout this adventure.
#1 – Mosquitoes are the size of pterodactyls (AND)
#2 – Monkey Poison ® is extremely toxic!! =)
Enjoy!! If you choose to walk a little further you can see some nice wooded area plus - There is a small parking lot down Latimer Lane on your right - as if you were heading back towards Rt. 10 / Hopmeadow Street. This is a parking lot for the paved “rails for trails”. This is a great place to ride a bike, walk, roller blade, do cartwheels, etc. “Do you know him?” is very nearby on this path as well as others. God Bless and let me know what you think!!
