Difficulty: Easy (short, flat walk)
Stamp: Hand-carved (It's my first, be gentle!)
Box: Micro. Bring your own stamp pad.

Start out at the Eastern Market Metro stop. Standing in front of the newspaper boxes, take a compass bearing and head north, past the place of learning on your right. You may notice the smell of coffee brewing.

If you have time, stop and have a drink at the tavern near the awning of an (in)famous doctor (with paws?). Walk straight ahead until the street dead ends at a brick esplanade. With The Village to your right, stand at the curb and take a compass bearing to 305.

Step lively 38 paces. You'll find yourself at a large tree with an arching root. Look to your left and you'll see a circle of hedge bushes bounded by crepe myrtle trees. Head for the opening in the hedge and into the turtle garden.

Once inside, note the bench to your left. Turn left and walk to the edge of the bench. Now take one more step, look around for interlopers, and reach your hand into the bush. A microbox is attached to one of the branches -- you may have to stoop. Stamp in, and enjoy the area!

NOTE: This is an EXTREMELY trafficked area, especially on the weekends. Be very careful not to let anyone see you (it may be necessary to come back another time). On the weekends, the best time to come is generally early in the morning or in the late afternoon, or pretty much any weekday.
