The Code 1 Letterbox

In Norwich, Ct. take Boswell Ave. to Mohegan Park Rd.
Travel about 1/2 mile.
On the right there will be a parking area. Park there.
From the plaque, just off the gravel, take a compass heading of 100 degrees, and follow that path counter clockwise around Spaulding pond. (There is more than one Spaulding Pond in Mohegan Park: this one is also known as the "skating pond.") Follow the berm and path away from the pond. Walk on the berm and onto a field, follow the path to the tree line. Take a compass heading of 330 degrees, and follow that path. Keep following the path to a fork. At that fork take a compass heading of 315 degrees. There will be a stone wall at that heading with a break in it. The wall on the left side of the path is where the box is hidden. On the path side of the stone wall, starting at the corner take 2 or
3 paces (depending on persons stride) and in the wall is the "Code 1" letterbox.
