This letterbox is part of a series called the Montgomery Trace Series. The Montgomery Trace is an old name for Hwy 149. It stretches from Pinehurst to Anderson. There are some boxes by others already along the route, so I thought I add some more to make the trip more exciting.

This is a microbox using a magnetic keyholder.

This box has a little theme, and parents need to explain to children that it does not condone smoking (it’ll make more sense after you see the box).

Directions:
This box is near the intersection of Spur 149 and Hwy 149. The spur is a small 1.2 mile stretch that takes you to a farther east spot on Fm 1488. Near the intersection of the two 149s, there is a train crossing, so always show caution. Park within walking distance of the train crossing. If you come from Hwy 149, park to the right at first street after crossing in the driveway for the little utility building. If you are taking the 1.2 mile route from FM 1488, park to your left just before you get to the tracks at the same building, this way walking does not involve crossing train tracks.

At the automated crossing arm, there is a sign (crooked) that tells you what number to call incase of malfunction. The box is on the back of this sign. Note its placement and replace in same position. Also, it’s a tight fit, so please repack nicely so nothing gets damaged. The logbook is small, so if you have a small stamp, please bring it, if your stamp is too large, just sign in only please.

Looking forward to feedback on this box!
