This box was adopted by Betsy @ The Summit from Lovewalden on 3/9/12. On 4/11/13 it appears to be missing, but it just might be buried deeper than it used to be.

The "Secret Garden" lies in the Bragg & MacDonald Memorial Forest, which is on Plain Street, off of Route 152, near the Plainville line.

As you drive down Plain Street, the forest is on the left. Once you see the sign, go slowly, letting cars pass you.
Park across from the boulders that prevent cars from access to the forest. (This trail is not the one close to Boro Sand and Gravel, which also has boulders). Walk into the forest. When you come to a fork, bear left, then left again. Proceed down this long path. Eventually you will see a trail on the left. There are some earth/root mounds on both sides of it. Walk 15 steps on this trail. Turn into the woods on your right for about 10 steps. At this point, towards your right, you'll see mounds of earth with large pines in them. At the base of the tree on the right, the "Secret Garden" awaits you, under pine needles, adorned by a stone. PLEASE put the stone back on GENTLY after you finish stamping in.
