Follow these clues to a fun spot for walking, swimming, playing tennis, playing/watching baseball, fishing, throwing horse shoes or having a picnic.

CLUES:
This box has gone missing as of Sept. 95. To be replaced?

Difficulty: Very easy
Terrain: Drive up then a short walk on flat ground.
Time: Less than 15 minutes after you park.
Distance: Less than 50 yards from car to quest and back again.
Please bring your stamp, a stamp pad, pen and an old rag to wipe off the box/your hands.

In the city of Parkersburg get on 7th street.
From the west side of town (Ohio river side) go east passing traffic lights at Avery, Green, Lynn, East, H.W. 47/50 turn off, Liberty and then get in the left lane. Turn left at the next light onto Park avenue.
From the east side of town (I77 side) go west passing lights at Fairview Ave and then turn right at the next light onto Park Ave.

Continue north on Park Ave. passing the first entrance at 17th street and then turn right into the second entrance to this fun spot. Go straight ahead passing the Museum on the right and the lake on the left, past the large shelter on the right and park somewhere around the object on the right that used to go boom. Go check out "boom" and follow its direction until you reach a tree with an electric box.....the tree being slightly right of booms flight path. At this tree take a bearing of approx. 300* and take 16 steps to a large oak with a hole at the base. Your quest is in the hole so Discretely push the twigs and leaves to one side, in the hole, and remove the box. Find the nearest shelter to leisurely do your stamping and reading of the log. Once you are done replace everything in the box, reseal it securely, verify that the coast is clear, then discretely replace the box and cover it back up with the twigs and leaves. Even tho it was a pretty easy find, I hope you enjoyed your time in the park. If you want to hunt another box very close by, check out the clues for Crawling Fellow.
