SERIES RETIRED

* Difficulty: Easy, no hills, loop trail, aprox. 1 hour to complete.
*This series was previously placed at Derby Reach Park for a letterbox gathering in October, 2004.

Take highway 7 west of Mission to Wilson Rd. on the right. Follow Wilson Rd. to Dewdney Trunk Rd. turn right. Follow Dewdney Trunk to Bell Rd. on the left. Rolley Lake Park is at the end of Bell Rd.

Box 1. THIS BOX IS MISSING
The trail goes all the way round the park. Facing the lake take the trail to the right. Go over the creek and take the low road. Walk along until suddenly the trees become very tall and lack lower branches. Watch carefully now to your left for a root covered "walkway". Across the trail from the "walkway" and up the bank a bit spy a large fallen tree with its feet exposed. Examine the feet way down low and deep.

Box 2.
Back to the trail and continue on quite a ways, staying left along the lake. You will come to a decline on your left that opens up the view to the lake. Slightly uphill now watching for a bridge on your left. Cross it. Presently, pass a cedar V-tree. Before long the path will curve rather dramatically to the left. Here you will spot a large stump with a big rock beneath it. From here start scanning the bank to your right as you walk along looking for a diamond eyed stump. Walk up to diamond eyes and 10 paces to his left his buddy hides a secret.

Box 3.
Back to the trail you go. On and on over 2 bridges. Go a fair ways and the trail will again curve sharply to the left. Quite a pretty spot coming up near the creek. Another bridge. From the end of this one pace 32. Stop. Pace 10 more to the right into the forest to find a mossy old man. Check him out. Continue on to find a long boardwalk. Soon you are back where you began.
