CLUES: Easy 20-30 minute walk unless you enjoy the scenery. FROM: Moorhead City enter Atlantic Beach via the Atlantic Beach Causway. At the light make a right on to HWY 58 north. Follow to Atlantic Station Shopping Center right turn at light. Park near Dominoes Pizza. Find the "Clean Water Preserve" sign across from Hardees Restaurant. The trail starts here. Trail maps are available in the mail box at the beginning of the trail. Follow the well markd trail under red ceder arches and continue until you get to the paved section. Turn left on the tar road (right will take you to HWY 58) Keep walking until you get to the marker #11 sign. Take side trail to the Historic Dunes to see the sights. This is not the way so retrace you steps back to the main trail and continue to the viewing platform. Walk beyond and check out the esturarium shoreline. Is the tide high or low? Did you see my friends the crabs? When you return to the viewing platform sit in the corner where the live oak and russian olive branches hang low. Look down ad you will find the treasure under a cement brick. Please rehide carefully and replace with brick in case the tide rises. Return the way you came to your car. This is the first box that I've placed. We have been vacationing here for 16 years and noticed that there weren't a lot of letterboxes in this area. We so enjoy this area of our country. Oh, bring bug repellent or come on a breezy day! Watch out for Poison Ivy! There is a lot of it in the area
