UPDATE: 12/17/05 Confirmed Missing
But I picked another spot (hopefully better) near by and will recarve soon.

This is my Xmas Theme Box for 2005. Look for others past and ‘present’ in the future.
BACKGROUND: ‘round about 1995 I was tired of dragging out the same old tree decorations year after year – although the glimmer and glitz of the holiday is my favorite. So I opted to decorate the big picture window with a Santa theme. After that the tree stayed in the chest-freezer (where else would I find a box for all those branches?) Inviting crafty ladies over each year for a feast I found myself changing the window theme to maintain interest . . . like the food wasn’t enough. The themes were locked in for a six-year period so I could shop those 75% off sales and really stock up on the decorations.
2005: The year for retirement. My husband and I planned to spend the holiday at Disney World. So as not to disappoint the ladies I had planned for Xmas in July. What could be more appropriate than the old Red White & Blue for a theme.
CLUE: Near by Willow Woods Park is located just down Braeburn Dr in Annandale VA. Follow the woodland path to a "T" intersection of asphalt (macadam to those from Joisy and Pennsy.) Go Right over the bridge - lucky that toppled tree missed it! Then Left onto another woodland path.

Just after the black ‘snake’ slithering down from the right take a Left Fork at the "Y" in the path. Follow it to the peninsula where water flows to the creek. There a mighty big tree with many toes standing straight and very tall. Wander around to the other side where one toe protrudes from the sandy shore decorated with Christmas Ferns. There ‘neath a SPOR, maybe covered in debris, rests Americana Xmas in July.

If you have white paper, you’ll need Red & Blue pens.

Let me know if the box needs maintenance or any other comments are welcome. sowbiz@yahoo.com
