This box is placed in celebration of the Cherry Festival held every year in Traverse City, Michigan. It is a great time filled with pie eating contests and parades!

To find this box locate the Fort Worth Nature Center off Jacksborro Hwy (199). Enter the nature center by turning right onto Buffalo Road. Stay on Buffalo Road passing the buffalo range on your right. The road will curve sharply to your right. Park in front of the buffalo range sign. Head toward Prairie Dog Town. Pass two benches on your left. Check out the prairie dogs on your right. The path will fork - stay to your left. When you reach the fence, the path will curve to your left. Continue on the trail, keeping the fence on your right. Go 40 paces (1 pace = 2 steps) from the prickly pear. On your left will be two trees about 4 paces from the path. Look at the base between these two trees. The cherries are there covered with leaves!

Please rehide this box very well as there is no natural hole or hiding spot, so in order to conceal, you must cover with leaves and twigs.

Email us to let us know how the box and its contents are doing. Also be sure to check out our other boxes in the nature center...T. C. Cherries and Marion's Longhorn.
