(This box seems to have been removed by some overzealous gardeners.)

Start at the Illinois Centennial Monument in northwest Chicago.

Walk in the direction of the eagle's gaze.

In the grass, you'll find a circular grate, sort of like a sewer cover. Note the two-digit number on the grate.

Continue walking in the same direction, taking extra care while crossing the street. In the corner you are walking toward, you will notice five identical street signs. Note the three-digit number in white numerals on a red background on the signs. Multiply this number by the number you found on the grate. This is the PRODUCT.

Turn around and walk to "Gilbert".

You are now in front of a building. Walk to the door marked "2545". On this door there is a 1-800 phone number. (Is the door missing? The first three digits are 321.) Take the first three digits after the 1-800 and add them to the PRODUCT. This sum is the MAGIC NUMBER.

Walk north to the corner.

Walk east, under "Pagamos en Dollores".

Keep walking, about seventy more steps, until you see to "Unity" just to your right.

Stop. Find the MAGIC NUMBER.

Cross the street and walk to the MAGIC NUMBER.

In front of the MAGIC NUMBER, find City Elec.

Stand on City Elec.

Walk east approximately 1/5 mile. You will be greeted by a green US mailbox.

Stand on City Elec.

Walk 23 steps east, crossing the street.

Stand on City Elec.

Walk 10 steps south.

Stand on City Elec.

Walk 44 steps south.

Stand on City Elec.

You are now in front of "Neighbors". Take the path to the right toward the gray barn.

You are now directly in front of the gray barn. To the left of the barn you will notice a four-tiered structure. The letterbox is hidden near the corner of the second tier from the bottom, tucked under the wood closest to the street. Just move some leaves and you will find it!
