**Alexander has flown the coop for the month of October to make room for PUMPKIN MOONSHINE. He'll be back after Halloween.**

Alexander the Gander by Tasha Tudor is a favorite childhood book passed down from my mother to me, and then to my children. The box was originally created for the Great Reads for Littles PLB ring.

The box is located in White Clay Creek State Park ( www.destateparks.com/wccsp/index.asp ). Park fees of $3 DE/$6 out of state are in effect from March 1-November 30.

Park in the lot off of Rte 896. Check the park map and make your way down to Millstone Pond. What a lovely place for geese! But you'll get a much better view if you climb up the rocky crag behind you. When you're done admiring the view from the point, move back from the edge--keep going to the second big group of rocks. Find a semicircular rock "seat" from which you can face north and see the tree with the hollow in its base on your right at 60d, and #10 on your left at 280d. There should be a boulder in front of you; and in between, a smaller rock. You're probably resting your foot on it. Check underneath
for the box.

Please be discreet as this looks like it may be a popular place when the weather warms up!
