Back in Business as of 09/10/06
This box was damaged by a critter but has been replaced.
This box now has a new container and hand carved stamp.
The log book is orginal.
Nevada Rd. is off of W. Mansfield St. in Bucyrus. Head west on Nevada Rd. until you pass the entrance to Aumiller Park. Past this entrance is the parking lot for Unger Park, a beautiful nature habitat in Bucyrus, Ohio.
Pull into the parking lot off Nevada Rd. and start your voyage at the information sign. Be sure to read about Ohio's butterflies at the information sign. Take the mowed path directly ahead that heads South through the meadow. Take time to enjoy all of the beautiful flowers and cattails. You'll see bluebird houses on your left.
Keep following the path so that the bluebird houses remain on your left until you reach a Y. Take the right fork.
You will come to another Y soon. Take the left fork.
Now, after a very short distance, you'll come to a T. Go right. You'll pass a pond on your left and a grove of very small trees on your right. The path will take you into the woods. Enter the woods to become closer to your "butterfly".
There are two paths that enter into the woods. Follow the path downhill towards the bridge. Step off the end of the bridge and go uphill 21 steps up the path. Your "butterfly" awaits you to your left in a very obvious hiding place.
Please be sure to recover and hide carefully
