Directions:
From Rt. 146 take the exit for Downtown Woonsocket, Rt. 104(follow sign heading toward Downtown Woonsocket). Continue through one light (Beef Barn on left, gas station on right). Take first left onto Avenue A. You will soon see Globe Park Elementary School on the left, with Globe Park enterance immediately following.
Clues:
Enter the park where the sign welcomes you to "Globe Park", Irene Blvd. should be at your back. Follow the cement path with the basketball courts on your left. Continue along this path heading toward the playground. As you approach the playground, a large oak reminds you to leash your dogs. After you tether your dog, follow the path that heads left toward the water. Continue on through the small picnic area. At the next fork in the path, go left heading around the pond. You should then come upon the remains of a once great "Ski Jump" that looks like it would have made the Romans proud. From the base of the "Ski Jump" take 12 paces (1 pace = 2 steps)at approx. 120 degrees along the path and stop. Look right to find 2 large oak trees sharing a base. Climb up and behind to find the "Globe" between the trees under some brush.
It seems that the notebook has gotten a little damp, please make sure the notebook stays inside the plastic bag. Thank you and enjoy.
