Tori's Treasures

Tori's Treasure Box is hidden in Ames Nowell Park.

You'll find a small treasure to take home.
Take Rt.18 to Rt.123W. Take your first right onto Rockland St. and bear left at the fork. At the end of the road, turn right onto Linwood.Follow into the park. The hike is easy enough and will take 1-2 hours.
Follow any of the walking paths that lead into the park, toward the water. Walk to the left, along the lake, past the pier, over the wooden bridge and toward the big " climbing rock." Standing on the main path next to the big rock, you will see several different paths. Take the path that has several log steps.
Follow this path as it goes uphill, then down and to the left. Watch out for several muddy areas.( Stay far to the left of them.)
The rocky path will rise slightly uphill then turn left. Continue past a squared rock on the right. When the path forks, stay to the right. Continue on the path until you come to a wooden bridge on the right.
Cross the wooden bridge and continue on the path. On the right, you will notice a large rock in a clearing where you can see the lake. Continue on the path. You will pass several boulders in the middle of the path. 6 paces past them, stop... you will find an interesting tree on the right that is hollowed out.
Continue on the path until you come to a tree on the right that has fallen and is balanced against another tree. Stand facing the broken tree. Look ahead and to the right. There will be a large egg shaped boulder atop an outcropping. Climb to this boulder. Behind it,in a crevice is Tori's Treasure Box. Don't forget to replace the box carefully so muggles don't find it. Good luck and happy letterboxing! Tori M.
