Bald Peak Letterbox
***UPDATE: This box was previously reported as missing and I removed the clues accordingly. Then, a couple months ago thanks to some hardy Letterboxers' who don't take "missing" as an excuse not to look, the box was refound in it's original placed spot. Hmmm, the lesson I've learned here is to look for myself when one of our boxes is reported as missing. Thus, the clues are back again and the box is waiting for your visit!
*all heading degrees calculated at magnetic north.
DIRECTIONS
Google the directions to Bald Peak State Park.
CLUES
Park in the upper parking lot and walk towards the NW end of the park.
Spot a trail near a large boulder at 310 degrees and follow it into the trees.
Continue downhill and as the trail steepens, step over and continue, step over and continue. At the gathering of three trees take a gander.
Standing even with the trail sentinel, go 17 steps further and stand atop the flat stump.
At a due South heading, go 10 paces more to find what you seek.
*NOTE: Please do not enter this box into any database. Contact us directly to report on its status.
** Make sure to also check out Funhog's Bald Peak Letterbox when at the park! The box names are similar but the stamps are not.
